THE INNER IMAGE Program® for Eating and Body Image Concerns
FALL 2007
YOUNG ADULT WOMEN’S GROUP: Tuesdays, 6:00 – 7:30, PM
12 WEEKS – September 18 thru December 3
This weekly supportive therapy group is for young adult women choosing to
recover from anorexia and bulimia, ages 17- 28, approximately. The group will
concentrate on your continuing recovery issues as it relates to addressing
eating disordered thinking and behaviors and returning to full living in
relation to socializing, relationships, school, and work. We will be focusing on
the “dinosaur” of recovery – body image. Other themes that will be addressed are
independence, separating from one’s family, adjusting to college, living on
one’s own, being responsible for one’s own health and recovery.
Group psychotherapy fees are charged - $90.00 per group meeting. For maximum
therapeutic benefit, group participants are typically in concurrent individual
treatment.
12-WEEK GROUP FOR ADULT WOMEN WITH EATING/BODY IMAGE STRUGGLES Utilizing the
Non-Diet Approach
September 18 – December 4, Tuesdays, 9:00 – 10:30 AM
This 12-Week Introductory Group uses the concepts of the non-diet approach and
mind-ful eating. Group utilizes 3 comprehensive and integrative components –
1) Women’s Issues; 2) Conscious Eating; 3) Body Image
Workbooks and experiential modalities are utilized within the group process –
journal writing, guided imagery, and art therapy. Each group meeting is $75.00.
ONGOING GROUP FOR ADULT WOMEN WITH
EATING/BODY IMAGE STRUGGLES
Two Sunday mornings per month, 9:15 to 10:45 AM
This existing group is for adult women who have already worked with the non-diet
approach and feel the need for ongoing support. Utilizes workbooks and
experiential therapies – journal writing, guided imagery, and art therapy
$75.00 per group meeting.
