Assessment and Treatment of Eating Disorders

The Women’s Therapy Service of Montclair, LLC, offers assessment and treatment for the full range of eating disorders – Anorexia, Bulimia, Binge, and Compulsive Eating Disorders. The Women’s Therapy Service strongly advises early detection and treatment of  eating disorders, which is when anorexia and bulimia are the easiest to treat.

Treatment begins with a consultation and an individualized assessment of you or your child’s needs.  If it is determined that we can meet your needs at the Women’s Therapy Service of Montclair, and the outpatient setting is appropriate for you at this time, your  primary therapist will offer recommendations that will maximize the efficiency for you or your child’s recovery.

Today, the approach that seems to be the most effective for the treatment of eating disorders, is the team approach.  Your primary therapist at the Women’s Therapy Service of Montclair, can co-ordinate the necessary outpatient team members needed for your recovery.  This team will may include eating disorders specialists such as nutritionists and physicians who are knowledgeable and sensitive in this area.

In addition to individual therapy, The Women’s Therapy Service offers a group program for eating disorders - The Inner Image Program® Treatment for Eating and Body Image Concerns. - See Our Programs
